In Loving Memory of James Farrlley

James “Jim” Farrlley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 3, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was a beacon of light in the lives of many, known for his unwavering love, generosity, and kindness.

James is survived by his sister Patricia and his devoted wife, Kristina Farrlley, with whom he shared a love through 51 years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to the strength of love and commitment, providing an example for all who knew them.

He is survived by his children: Jeffrey and his wife Carolyn and Patrick and his wife Jennifer, who strive to continue his legacy through being devoted parents, spouses and friends.

James was also a cherished grandfather to A.J, Maia, and Ainslee. He reveled in their laughter, celebrated their achievements, and provided them with a love that knew no bounds. His impact on their lives will resonate for generations to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jim’s name to to either of his favorite charities:

One more beer and a shared laugh, and my illusion that that would be enough. A good man down to the bone, as though it never occured to him to be anything but — I’ll miss you my friend —

Dad, you were the best dad and “Pop” anyone could ask for! You gave the best advice, always had a joke and a smile, and supported us through the best and toughest of times. I miss you already.
You will be in our hearts and thoughts forever.

He was the best of the best. Always a smile and a kind word for everyone. I will miss my cousin.

I first meet Jim when we moved to Daytona in 2020. The one thing that always impressed me was no matter what was going on he always had a smile on his face and would do anything he could for everyone. May he rest in peace.

Jim and Kris were our best friends since we all moved into Margaritaville. Jim was always a gentleman with only positive things to say. The guys will miss the bored meetings in the garage. I will miss his kindness and loving support and wisdom. His absence will leave a huge hole in our lives. Kris is my bestie and I will look after her, I promise. Love you Jimbo❣️

    ‘Epitaph’ by Merrit Malloy

When I die give what’s left of me away
to children and old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry,
cry for your brother walking the street beside you.
And when you need me, put your arms around anyone
and give them what you need to give me.

I want to leave you something,
something better than words or sounds.
Look for me in the people I’ve known or loved,
and if you cannot give me away,
at least let me live in your eyes and not your mind.

You can love me best by letting hands touch hands,
and by letting go of children that need to be free.
    Love doesn’t die, people do.
So, when all that’s left of me is love,
    give me away.

I first met Jim/Jimbo in Oakdale NY as my assistant manager. From the first moment, he gave the impression of a wonderful person and he was all the years I knew. He became one us in the “fun” pack, especially The Cozy Cabin” crowd. Jim was such an easy and lovable guy. Although we moved away from each other I thought of him, and Kris, many many times. I was SO saddened to hear about his passing. It ripped a part of me. I guess it’s true when they say love know no boundaries. As for Kris, you have our deepest, sincerest sympathies and we will do anything even though we are so many miles away. Jim @ Kris will always be in my thoughts and prays.
