Not a Fan
I really do not like Donald Trump.
I really do not like Kim Jong-Un.
Both of these idiots have the power to use nuclear weapons to kill thousands of innocent people. Neither of them are fit to run a country, or make life and death decisions.
I really do like peace. I think it is preferable to war, especially nuclear war.
Now that those important points are out of the way…….
I do not know if the Trump-Un summit will yield any lasting results, but it is certainly a step in the right direction from where we were a few months ago, when we were wondering if nuclear armageddon was coming.
What is troubling is the reactions I see in the media even before any ink has dried. The same people who were screaming about the Rights inability to let Obama have a win, will not even consider this as a win for Donald Trump, or the United States.
No Win Situation
The Affordable Health Care Act, was a win, even though many didn’t like the guy who got it done. It gradually became a loss.
Scaling down military hostility on the Korean Peninsula is a win, even though many don’t like the guy who got it done. It will most likely be made into a loss.
I don’t have a crystal ball to see how this all turns out, but we do have mirrors. Are those of us who cannot stand a Trump Presidency, bent on assuring that there are no wins in the coming years, just to assure that the same treatment applies to our next leader? We come together in tragedy regardless of party, but I am afraid we have lost our ability to come together in triumphs.
Seems like a no win situation for the nation.
I hope I am wrong.
